Kiwoko Hospital welcomes several medical volunteers each year. The clinical input provided by volunteers keeps the overstretched medical team supported, and is very valuable.

Opportunities are available to work in:

  • Anaesthesia
  • Pharmacy
  • Radiology
  • Adult medicine
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Neonatology
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics
  • Surgery
  • General Practice

Those with at least 8–10 years’ post–qualification experience are especially helpful.

If you wish to volunteer at Kiwoko we ask you first read the ‘What to Expect’ document below. Then, if you wish to apply, please send your completed application form to be considered by members of the Hospital Management Committee.

If you would like to make an initial, informal inquiry please feel free to contact the Hospital's Visitor Coordinator, Stephen Park on

Volunteers with experience in Administration and Finance are also required. However, with the complexity of managing such a large hospital, such volunteers will usually be those with some years of management experience and prepared to stay for several years.
