As a working hospital, there are few opportunities for non-medical personnel to volunteer at the hospital. However, if you are in Uganda and would like to visit for a day while there, such visits can usually be arranged with enough advance notice.

It is best to visit during the working week as the hospital can be seen in full-swing during normal working hours. If you are interested in such a visit, please contact Stephen Park on

You will be very welcome but should be aware that there is a dress-code for visitors and Stephen will inform you of this. Kiwoko is about 2 hours north of Kampala. It is a rural town and culturally very different to other parts of Uganda.
