The Gift Aid scheme allows you to give to the charity FOKH in such a way that we can reclaim tax back at the basic rate and thus increase the value of your gift. A basic rate of tax of 22% means that a gift of £100 increases in value to £128. You need to be a UK taxpayer (but don't need to be resident in the UK) and to have paid (personally, not by another person) enough income tax or capital gains tax each year to cover the amount that we reclaim from your donation. Higher rate tax payers receive extra relief claimed through their tax return.
You must inform us if you no longer pay sufficient income tax or capital gains tax so that we do not reclaim too much tax on your giving. When you declare below that you wish this and any future donations to Friends of Kiwoko Hospital to be under the Gift Aid scheme this does not commit you to any future giving. It simply means that we can treat future gifts from you as being under Gift Aid.
You can cancel your declaration at any time by phoning 02890-423387 or emailing feedback@fokh.org.uk.
